PHF supports critical Presbyterian Community Health initiatives like the Presbyterian Food Farmacy, which provides fresh produce, nutrition education and access to community resources. In 2024, the Food Farmacy program continued to grow, serving 752 patients, who received 134,685 pounds of food. Patients were referred by 170 different Presbyterian providers representing 46 Presbyterian practices. This impact was underwritten entirely by philanthropy.
In 2025, Presbyterian will increase patient access to the Food Farmacy by expanding capacity at its existing sites at the Community Health Resource Center at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital and PMG-Las Estancias, as well as opening a new site at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center that is expected to serve an additional 130 patients by the end of the year.
