When Patients Say Thank You

Some moments in care stay with patients long after an appointment ends.

Sometimes it’s the way someone listens.

Sometimes it’s the extra time taken to explain something clearly.

Sometimes it’s simply feeling seen and respected during a difficult moment.

Through Presbyterian’s Guardian Angel Program, patients and families have a way to recognize the caregivers who made that kind of difference.

Here are just a few of the words patients shared.

Honoree: Roberto Jordan, MD “Dr. Jordan is compassionate and listens to my problems. If I have any issues, a simple message on my chart and he responds quickly. He has never made me feel like I don't know what I'm talking about. His primary concern is his patients. Thank you.” — Robert, patient

Honoree: Heather Prather, PT, DPT “Heather was great. She was attentive and caring, and I never felt rushed. She personalized the interaction and made me feel truly heard, cared for and at ease.” — Lori, patient

Honoree: Karl Dittrich, MD “Dr. Dittrich has been my physician for years. I am so very impressed and happy with the care that Dr. Dittrich provide to me, but what is truly important is the way that he has supported my wife and family. He’s a wonderful listener and his attention to detail is off the charts. He is compassionate and he is “non-stop”. — John St. Cyr, patient
