When Amanda Fangio passed her national nursing licensure test in the spring of 2025, it was the culmination of years of hard work, and the start of many new opportunities. She took the test after graduating from the Presbyterian Nursing Career Pathways Practical Nursing program. She was one of the program’s first graduates. She started at Presbyterian a decade ago, working as a medical assistant while raising four kids with her husband.
When she learned that she could continue working while earning her degree, and with encouragement from her family, she decided to “just do it.” Now Amanda is a nurse in the medical surgical unit at Presbyterian Hospital.
“The Presbyterian Nursing Careers Pathways program paved the way for a new beginning for not only me, but my family as well.
